The Great Depression – How Were Real Estate Fortunes Made? Duplicate the Model!
What do Colonel Sanders, Babe Ruth, Howard Hughes, Gene Autry, Joe Kennedy, Sheldon Solow, H. Ross Perot, Hewlett and Packard, and Charles Darrow have in common? They all made fortunes and prospered during the Great Depression. They knew that economic downturns create once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for financial success. During the Depression years, demand was low and prices were low as a result. Well, we’ve all had enough doom and gloom about the economy. The truth is we may never see such an ideal time to invest in real estate again. Everyone has a different opinion about the actual value of real estate; appraisals are guess work, so investors are going on their instincts. This savvy investing is paying off hugely as buyers are able to copy the model of the Great Depression millionaires in which great properties became available at rock bottom prices and those with access to funding ruled the day.
